Note that this same USB will act extremely responsive if I'm using it as a live USB and not a persistent USB. I guess the best way here is to use 2 USB 3.0s and install Fedora from one Live USB to another but the thing is, the SUB speed is pretty slow and it takes forever to install and even after the installation, the USB 3.0 where Fedora was installed starts acting really slow. At least not with distros other than Ubuntu alone. ![]() Even the Rufus' persistent size option doesn't seem to work. But every time I boot up, the changes are lost. It seems whenever i use Rufus on my Windows 10 laptop to create a USB, the USB works lightning fast if it's not persistent. Speaking about the Spins, they are the Fedora version of Ubuntu 's Flavors like Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Lubuntu etc. (I udnerstand the commandline persistence methods might differ from one distro to another, So I'm listing Fedora's modus operandi here.) ago The persistent storage option on the live USB is not that great since it is using an LVM overlay, which means the write performance is poor on a USB drive and if you keep updating or changing things, the overlay will eventually be used up and stop working. Speaking technically, Fedora supports wealthy range of computer architectures namely x8664, aarch64, and armhfp that means it runs on PC and notebook, as well as kiosk, mediacenters, headless machines, etc. Where X is the device letter as shown on fdisk -l or lsblk.
